Dear Future Self

With a smile and fullness of happiness in my heart, I write to you.
I must say I'm very much elated seeing and knowing you're well and happy in life.
I've longed to see you; I know I would see soon, but the fact I know you're okay is enough for me and not to rush to see you.
I see you've become noble, principled and a gentle person. All people admire you because of your generosity and how gentle you are. I am happy the sacrifices I'm making today to be strong in kindness and generousity have yielded good and positive results. I'm being criticized all because of how hard I'm trying to uphold my principles and that is what has guided you to where you're. For which we can call you a man of integrity.
Future self, I see you carry a lot of wisdom, knowledge and a good oratory skills. I'm happy how people become satisfied when you speak even in crises. People are happy with the way you tackle issues and how you solve them with the knowledge you have just amazes them. For this you've been able to carve a niche for yourself in trust and truthfulness. All these makes me proud because the knowledge I'm acquiring from reading has made you knowledgeable. The application of these knowledge too without doubt has made you wise in your dealings and trustworthy.
You seem not to be shaken by circumstances, future self. This makes me glad as you're able to withstand any stumble that comes your way. I am sad, broken and crying too much, but I smile in the pains because I see you're now immovable by situations irrespective of how bad it looks.
I'm not able to put deaf ears to what people will say and perceive about me, I'm worried, afraid and conscious not to make mistakes so I don't get to hear about the things people are saying about me. I've seen going through all these has made you stronger and not afraid of what they say about you.
Dear future self, you understand the plight of the poor and oppressed and also feel for them. I don't like to be going through these but it has made you man who understands life and appreciate what you have.
Dear future self, I would like conclude here, but I must sincerely say I'm very much happy the situations, sorrows, pains as well as other mischiefs I'm going through have been able to make you a better man and I'm PROUD if that.
Send my regards to the family and friends who are still with you. I leave you with the peace of GOD and hope to see you soon.
                                                                    Sincerely,
                                Aephaniel Owusu-Agyemang.
                                            (PRESENT SELF)

We'll Get There

We struggle, through the pain and the agony
With almost all hope lost, we forge on and believe we'll get there
As the road to success seems tough and bumpy. We shake in fears but we'll get there
It is tarry, but regardless we march on
We'll get there
We're going, we're moving, we don't know where the road ends but in the end we'll get there
We're not moved by the trials and obstacles cos we know we'll get there;
To our final destination where we'll lay down and rest.

In this world fill of despair, how do you live?

The skies are blurry and the tunnels remain dark
The night is bleak as the future remains scary Now we walk alone, unlike Liverpool's lark
As hope remains nothing but a fairy tale wish

Put to death our fears, bring to life our dreams Do not leave us in despair, help us work to repair.
Help us achieve our dreams; take away all aversion.
Put them down the streams .

Ignite the hope in us, take away all our doubts. Do not make us cowards
We ought to face our fears As with courage we put them down.
Yet we give up not Forwards ever, backward never; Never like Lot There's still a glimmer at the end of the tunnel
As we hope to cross this sea of uncertainty with faith as our paddle

All They ever wanted

Like a hungry bear who sought honey
Found one but couldn't reach it up high
Like how the eagle soared higher in the sky, keenly hunting for fish but missed it
Like the cheetah sought for meat in winter but never got it

All they ever wanted but never had

Like the rich man who sought water in Hades from Lazarus in Abraham's bosom but still thirsted
Like how eagerly Job wanted death but saw the light of the day All he ever wanted but never had .
Like the moon, which sought it's own light but never got it Only to reflect light from the sun Like the asteroid which wanted an orbit but never got one
Only to wallow in the empty vacuum of space

All it ever wanted but never had.

It's hurts not to get all you ever wanted Maybe that's how it was made.
